For the thunder heroine, her eye was cursed or replaced by something cursed, anything in that eye range of vision dies, it couldn't be removed or cured, she was sealed in a dark dungoen for years and MC was calle dfor his skill, but all he could do was creating a seal that would stick, that is still more than anyone else could do as she is now free, it seems like she was a hero before getting cursed, that was why she wasn't executed.
Is semi-reasonable, I would have stil put her in a dungeon, but not in a different cage or death trap at randmo as we see, simply live there and get stuff from the nation until a solution is found, certainly wouldn't make her hate me by putting a guillotine on her neck all day
